Michael Brierley.

Michael is the partner responsible for Trusts, Wills and Probate disputes and undertakes Independent Legal Advice where required to protect individual clients in a range of circumstances. He is a registered member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).

Michael qualified as a solicitor in 2009 having trained with Porter Dodson Solicitors. He then moved to Hanne & Co. Solicitors LLP and became a Partner there in 2018.

Michael has been a litigator since first qualifying. He initially practised as a Child Care solicitor, attending Court on an almost weekly basis and representing children and parents. This practice would see him instructed on extremely complex matters involving the welfare of children.

In 2013 Michael moved away from Child Care into Trusts and Probate which involved a mixed workload of contentious and non-contentious matters. This balance gave him an insight into how Estates and Trusts should be properly managed and Wills correctly drafted. Such elements are fundamental principles for a solicitor to be able to correctly advise upon and bring and defend Trusts, Wills and Probate claims.
