Mundays rises in the ranks in national legal directory

18th September 2015

Mundays has risen up the ranks in five practice areas and has been recognised as one of the South East’s leading law firms, according to the recent Legal 500 rankings.

Mundays’ employment team rose to tier one in the rankings for Kent, Surrey and Sussex, with the team described as ‘superb on all counts’ and partner and head of the team Andrew Knorpel called ‘outstanding’.

Both the firm’s property litigation and banking and finance practice areas rose to tier two, with the head of the property litigation team Stephen Morris recognised as ‘an outstanding litigator who gets results’ and the banking and finance team’s impressive roster of clients including Close Brothers, NatWest and a number of Middle Eastern banks cited.

Elsewhere in the firm, the construction team was recognised for its excellent client work, rising to tier three and the contentious trusts & probate team also rose to tier three in the rankings.

The firm, which recently opened an office in London, also upheld its top tier rankings with its family team. The directory described the team as one which ‘can safely stand next to many City family practices’ and Graham Coy, Sarah Duckworth, Miranda Green and Judith Fitton were all recognised for their expertise and sensitive client handling.

The Legal 500 is an annual independent legal directory which recommends both firms and individuals.

Commenting on the rankings, Managing Partner at Mundays, Valerie Toon, said: “To see five practice areas rising up the tiers in this year’s Legal 500 directory has been reflective of the very strong year the firm has had. We opened our London office earlier this year, but the local area remains at the core of the firm and to be recognised as a leading firm across Kent, Surrey and Sussex is fantastic.

“Our lawyers pride themselves on not only being experts in their fields but also ensuring their clients are at the heart of everything they do – the Legal 500 recognises this strong commitment across the firm.”
