GUEST SPEAKER - DOMINIC RAAB MP
Prior to entering politics, Dominic worked as a solicitor, first as an international lawyer at City law firm LinkLaters, and later at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office where he held numerous roles including heading the FCO’s war crimes team in The Hague. He later spent time as Chief of Staff to then Shadow Home Secretaries David Davis and Dominic Grieve. Dominic was first elected as MP for Esher and Walton in May 2010, winning 59% of the vote. Dominic served as Parliamentary Under Secretary at the Ministry of Justice from 2015 to 2016, under David Cameron, focusing on human rights and civil liberties.
Dominic was re-elected in the 2017 General Election, and on the 12th June 2017, he returned to the Ministry of Justice as Minister of State, where he is responsible for courts reform, family and criminal justice, and delivering Brexit.
